Has anybody taken apart the gauge cluster for scanning of the faces? I want to make some custom gauges but I need a template to work with so I can make it fit right and get the tic marks right.

I remember awhile back looking at a post where somebody had taken apart the gauge cluster and had ended up cracking the clear plastic cover and what not. Apparently it is very difficult to do. They were trying to take it apart to swap out the led's if I remember correctly. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. If you do this I would be interested in knowing how to do it too.

If you made new gauge faces, I'd buy them from you

Sounds good! I'll keep watching to see what happens. I'm going to be checking out junkyards pretty soon to get some of the interior pieces. I want to modify the whole center console/dash so I'm gonna be looking for extra pieces in case A: I screw something up B: so I can keep the car in one piece until I switch everything out. If I find some gauges I'll let you know.
