I have been doing more research and I have been coming to read/ hear others that it is something normal on the g37 and 370Z on cold starts. It just sounds a little rough when you start it but nothing major.
I never paid attention until i read your post
My G37S had a low pitch growl when first started when cold that disappears in less than a minute.
I got out of my vehicle after starting it to pick up the newspaper at the end of my driveway. Inside the vehicle with the radio on it is harder to hear
