Purchased new 2011 G25x in Oct 2011. Current issue is when car is at operating temp and outside temp is 45F or below, the car heater temp control will not allow adjustment of the temp. If set in manual mode and temp set to 60F or 61F, it blows cold air as expected. Problem is when turn temp dial up to 62F, it immediately blows out at 95 to 100F and continues to blow out at this hot temp even as the temp dial is turned up to 90F. I have measured the temp at this 95 to 100 range (via a thermometer placed in the dash vent) and three Infinity dealers have also confirmed this 95 to 100 temp of blowing air when the temp dial is set to 62 or higher.

All three dealer service mgrs state that "this is not normal and is way to hot air for it to start blowing hot air at the 62F level", but when they contact Infiniti Tech Service (ITS) for assiatane, ITS tells them "there is nothing wrong with the car's HVAC system, it is performing as desigened and to return it to the customer".

When the outside temp is above 45F, the heater temp cotrol works fine. Even with the AC on and the ouside temp is below 45, it will still blows the extremely hot air (again, measured at 95 to 100) when the temp control is set to 62 or above.

All of the above HVAC settings and experiences were when in the Manual HVAC mode. Per the car's owners manual, you should be able to have the HVAC system set in Manual mode and be able to set/adjust the temp control to the desired temp comfort level.

With my car's current HVAC system, only two temp settings are avalibale when below 45F outside, very cold or very hot! I find this very hard to believe this is normal. I've never had any car in the past (MB, Volvo, even Buicks and Chevs) where you couldn't control the heater temp output if it was cold outside.

Has anybody had any similar HVAC experiences with their recent G37 or G25? Any ideas or recomendations as to how I can get Infiniti to fix this? Any assiatance would be greatly appreaciated as at current, I'm VERY disappointed with Infinit. Regards

You need to enlist the Infiniti Service manager.
Take pictures for evidence.
Keep a log of everyone you speak to and what they said with dates and tines just in case you wind uo in court
The service manager at the dealer needs to escalate this issue with Infiniti Customer Service
Give them your vehicle, take a loaner and tell them not to call you to return the loaner until they fix it.

Good luck

+1 i agree with telcoman

if they have comfirmed it as a problem they should fix it.

Sounds like its just a sensor issue though, maybe after the temp gets low enough the temp sensor "gets stuck" (for lack of a better way to put it)... i would think that would be easy as replacing temp sensors and maybe reflashing the software for nav/audio/hvac.
