Howdy, all!

Longtime forum member just haven't been around in a while as life gets busy. Still lurk from time to time, but...alas...things happen that bring me back home.

To start, I did try searching but wasn't having any luck with finding specifics on the VQ25HR in regard to my current status.

So, I have the dreaded chirping noise coming from, what I suspect, is the A/C compressor belt tensioner pulley. It's been more predominant these past few days with the weather being rainy however, it's something I want to get taken care of soon as the weather is getting nicer and I can do it myself instead of paying a shop to do it.

Now, it's been a minute since I've done my own accessory belts as the last couple of times I had the local Firestone do them for me. But, I want to get the belts swapped and replace the idler pullies but don't know if I can just replace the pullies themselves or if I have to do the entire tensioner assemblies.

So...has anyone either replaced just the pullies or the whole assemblies?

I can find pullies on RockAuto but not whole assemblies. Also...not 100% sure those are exactly what I'm looking for.

Infiniti Parts websites are a bit hard to navigate to find what I'm trying to figure out and, as we all know, are quite expensive.

Any help from anyone who has some insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hope all is well!

The parts drawing shows both idlers being replaceable as piece parts, no auto tensioner:

Thanks for the link. That's probably the best link I have seen as all the other links to Infiniti parts sites couldn't give that much detail of the breakdown.

I really don't want to pay dealer prices for both idler pullies and the possible idler pulley shaft, but if that's the route I need to go to keep this old girl on the road, then that's the route I'll go.

Back to one of my previous questions...has anyone ever replaced the pulley assemblies either with or without replacing the pulley shaft?
