The pinion gear and bearing on the rear is bad. I know I need to change both the ring and pinion as a set. The ratio is a 3.36 but when I order the set for a 2011 frontier the ring is to large. I think the size is 255mm. The one I have taken off the carrier is 205mm. I ordered one that was 205 mm but then the inside dimension is to small. I matched it up to the old ring and the od is right but the inside is way off. Their is no tags or markings on the rear end housing. The only numbers I can find are the ones stamped on the ring and pinion. All they tell me are the ratio and shim amounts and dates.
Can anyone help me find the right ring and pinon and bearings for this truck. I have just purchase the truck and can't even find the whole rear end in my area.

Go to NissanPartsDeal.com and enter your VIN. NPD uses the exact same database and diagrams as Nissan DPC, so it will show you the exact ring and pinion that came from the factory on your specific truck.

I got a part number from that site. How can I tell if it's the same gears that I have purchased that says it fits my truck but doesnt? I've looked up the part number on different companies and none of them match.

NPD uses the Nissan database, whatever p/n it gave you should be exactly what came from the factory on your truck.

That's my delima when I order the ring and pinion for the truck I am getting the wrong size. So I'm thinking maybe the rear end already had been changed? I now plan on going to the dealer and see if they can come up with dimensions because I don't want to buy another ring and have it the same size that all the other places have sent me saying it fits my truck. I am also wondering why I can't take that part number from NPD and see if it's the same item from another company.

If somebody changed the rear then all bets are off for matching the ring gear only, but you can always pull up p/n's for the set and go to the original ratio.

I've found numbers on the ring and pinion and took them to my local parts place and the said they weren't p/n's and couldn't help me. And there isn't any numbers on housing.
