2011 Chrome accent on lift-gate... fit for 2008-2010?

Finally that bump on the rear lift-gate has - what looks to my eye - the correct chrome treatment. I see there's nothing out there on the after market sites currently, but I'd love to put this on my '08 SL. I checked with my dealer's parts department and the only part they can find in the system is ~$250, which makes me and the parts guy both think this is for something more than just the simple chrome overlay. The parts guy indicated I might get the technicians to try and find a spare one of these and see if it fits on my car next time it's in.

I am also interested in this accent. There are partial overlays on ebay, but they look funny. ~$50 for stainless steel.

I want one too! In a previous thread a few months ago, someone mentioned that the piece is the same as on the Nissan Altima; for the exception of the keyless entry rubber pad.

I don't want to cover up my rubber button so I didn't get the chrome piece, but I heard it works for Rogues without the Smart Key system.

I have a feeling that the price is so high is because it's attached to or comes with the rubber button thing. Not just a piece of chrome with a hole in the middle.

I believe that this piece is bigger than just an overlay. On my 2010 Rogue when I open the lift gate by holding this area I can feel the entire thing wiggle a bit. I bet that is the reason for the more expensive price on this piece.

Could be. I didn't closely inspect the 2011 to see if it was just an overlay or not. The way Nissan sold the grill overlays (prior to 2011) makes me think this IS an overlay. And then the way Nissan does the chrome door handles, which I believe are NOT overlays, makes me wonder.
