I am having cruise added onto my 2010 Nissan Sentra by the local garage.

Any thoughts re the best kit/part(s) to buy?

1) Is Rostra more or less the only option?

2) Or is the Sentra drive by wire? How would I know? Can you tell by the VIN?
If so, could I just purchase the OEM cruise lever, install it and plug it in, and wait for the computer to recognize it?

Thank in advance!

Your Sentra is drive-by-wire, there's no mechanical connection between your foot and the Throttle Body. The Rostra is probably your best option. I don't know of anyone else making an aftermarket CC for it, and the OE CC doesn't use a lever, it uses switches in the steering wheel. The wiring in the Main Harness, Engine Room Harness, and Spiral Cable may not even be present, and you might need different firmware in the ECM. So installing the OE setup might be much more complicated than simply adding the switches to the wheel.
