I own a 2010 S 360 and would really like fog lights. I know some of the previous models were already pre-wired for the fog lights, but I can't seem to find any info. online on whether or not the 2010's are. Basically if it is, I will get the kit, but if it isn't it seems like it might be more work/expense and may not be worth it to me.

Does anyone own a 2010 and know if they are in fact pre-wired for the fog lights? Thanks so much!!!

Btw, I LOVE this forum, I'm still sooo excited to have bought a Rogue and I love reading all the different threads posts here. It's so much fun!!!

There are at least three existing threads on this topic, in the future please search carefully for existing threads before creating a whole new topic, chances are most issues already have an existing discussion thread:

zer...rogue

and

zer...ightsand

zer...wired

With the 08/09 Rogues the consensus was that all were pre-wired for fog-lights, I can't guarantee if this is the case with all new 2010 Rogues but I can't see any reason why this would have changed.

I encourage you to post in one of the existing threads, keep the discussion going, and let us know if you move forward with installing your own fog lights! Also it would be great to confirm if your 2010 S model does have the fog light wiring, so please let us know.

I think it was mentioned previously that only the 2008's were pre-wired if I am not mistaken.

Sorry about the new thread, but the other threads did not address my issue on the 2010 as I would like a definitive answer and so I was looking to see if anyone knows FOR SURE if the 2010 Rogue is pre-wired?

I've read, on here, that only the 2008's are pre-wired, then I've also read that the 08-09's are. Haven't seen any mention of the 2010's. Even did a google search and came up with nothing.

So, does anyone have a 2010 and did the fog light install and knows for sure? I don't want to buy the kit and then find it that is is not pre-wired. If no one on these boards know, how could I find out? I asked my salesman at the dealership and he was pretty clueless.

Thanks!!

Look in your car: open the hood, look from below the car, remove the bumper, etc...

No one has been able to confirm fog light pre-wiring for the 2010 models. We have had one instance already where a 2009 model did not have the wiring. The owners of 2008 models who have installed the fog lights had the wiring in place... but it's still no guarantee.

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine if a particular trim level or model year has the wiring or not. Nissan makes routine changes to their vehicles during production... even two vehicles of the same trim level and year can have different wiring harness' installed... one with the pre-wiring and one not.

As Pescakl suggested, the only way to know is to check yourself. Here is a detailed pics with the bumper removed from Leo2005's Rogue. You can see the harness tied up to the left of the aftermarket filter he installed. Using a flashlight, you should be able to see this wire from the large drain holes under the bumper (see bottom of pic). The passenger side is similar.

The next step is to confirm the fog light relay is in place. It's located in the IPDM box to the right of the battery. You will have to remove the air intake tubing to access it. There should be a diagram on/under the lid showing the fog lamp relay location. If the relay and the wiring harness is in place, then you should be able to add the OEM fog lights.

Hope this helps!

My 2010 S 360 came pre-wired for fog lights, including the relay and fuse. I just installed them today and they look and work great.

Awesome, did you do the install yourself? Did you use the OEM fog lights or an aftermarket kit? What did the lights cost? Was it fairly easy since it was already pre-wired with relay and fuse? Plug and play?

I'm a newbie chick without much mechanical/electrical knowledge so was wondering if I should tackle this on my own or have someone do it for me. Would dealership install this if I asked them to even though it's not an option on the S 360?

Thanks!

All of the parts are OEM. Here's the parts list from the Rogue FAQ:

1ea fog lamp 26150-8990a1ea fog lamp 26155-8990a1ea bracket 26910-jm00a1ea bracket 26915-jm00a1ea switch turn dimmer 25540-ee90e2ea clip 62228-5z0004ea screw 01456-00451

I don't remember the costs off hand but, Google is your friend. I purchased from Nissan Parts Connection in Socal.

As for the difficulty, mechanical and electrical skills are not really required, since everything is pre-wired. However, the standard level of tool competence and patience is needed. If you don't have at least a basic skill level, I would not try this. In that case, find a good third party shop that will let you watch... and you can learn something while you're there...

As for the dealer, I never trust them to give me honest info or a fair price. YMMV.

Any idea on how much it should cost for a mechanic/dealer/stereo place to install? I'm not confident enough to try this install on my own even though I hear it is a fairly simple install.

Thanks!

Should be about 1/2 hour job but dealer might round it to 1 hour which is about $70-100All you need in order to install fog-lights is to remove fender protectors and you will have an access to install the fog lights. That's all.

I just found this OEM complete halogen fog light kit on ebay for only 65 bucks, they claim it's high quality, heavy duty etc. but this price sounds too good to be true.

I'm still not sure how to replace/install the switch on the signal light arm, but I'm going to look it up in the service manual and I'll share it here once I find it.

Anybody have thoughts on this?

I've seen it about 2 years ago. These are universal fog lights and have universal plugs. You will have to modify the plug as well as installation will be more like a pain in the butt. I installed last summer led fog lights in my father's versa and the best I could do is glue the fog lights to the cover. Not really pretty but it works:I have another set of the same led lights but blue. Maybe I'll install it someday.
