Hi all,
I just got a 2010 Rogue 360 last week. Before buying, I read about vibration issues devloping with the CVT, so maybe I am being overly cautious here....

I have noticed when I accelerate out of a turn, maybe in the 10-15 mph range, there is a brief "brrrrrrr" kind of vibration, lasting only a second or so. It does not seem to happen when accelerating on a straight line.

I know the AWD model starts from stationary in AWD mode, then switches to FWD, so maybe it is that switchover I am feeling more while the wheels are turned?

Just wondered if this is normal or worth mentioning to the dealer?

Cheers

Yeah, I experienced that too. Funny thing is I never experienced anything until I read the forums and it increased my senses to look for it. Now I notice!...arghh.

But truly, I pay it no mind. I mean , considering the pavement and road conditions, I am bound to feel something. So its mixed in with a little brrrr here and there. I accept the technology if that is was it is. Moreover, I understand we are not driving on air, I want to feel a little "ommph" here and there. Actually, I was so use to feeling real bad vibration on a 17yr old geo prism, that driving the Rogue was buttery smooth almost like driving a an electric golf cart SMOOTH; that I have nothing to complain about.

Hello murpheeee,

Welcome to the NICOClub Rogue Forums!

I am sure the vibration you are feeling is the result of the AWD system. I have not noticed this in my FWD Rogue.

The other vibration issues mentioned in this forum are not a defect, but rather the result of Nissan's CVT programming and are normal. Nissan gears the CVT quite high for for fuel efficiency, the resulting vibration at low speeds is much like 'lugging' a manual transmission car in high gear.

I have also had this vibration. Only happens when I am accelerating and turning at approx 10mph. Thought it was the road the first few times it happened. Doesn't occur all the time though. Also get the "engine lugging" vibration at around 1300rpm, this is rather annoying.
