My daughter just bought a 2009 Rogue S. It has one power outlet, but the console has a hole with a cap. Does anyone know if the wiring is there for the plug? The wiring harness usually has the ability (i.e. my wife's Honda Element), but the plug assembly is not included. That way you just have to remove the console to access the wiring and install your plug.

I couldn't find any references in the search, so I am hoping someone knows the answer.

I just wired mine in today, I thought the wires would be under the console too. No such luck. However as ImStricken wrote, don't stress it. it is quite easy to splice into the dash power port wiring. After looking at the factory wiring schematic I found this is how nissan did it anyway, they are not separately fused. The dealer sells the factory power port and bezel/cover for under $20, and the console and dash are not difficult to remove.

Just got my 2010 Rogue S and noticed there is only a hole with a cap on it in the center storage box where the 12v outlet would be.
A quick search of the forum shows that the S model only gets 1 of the 12v outlets.
Anyone ever attempted to add the missing one and know if the wiring is there or is it more involved?
Thanks

Looking to do the same possibly. Taking out the glove box isnt that hard, takes about 5 min max. The easiest way I come across for adding accessories like that is to get a mini-add-a-fuse http://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-BP-HHH-A ... B000GKEXK2 and put that into the fuses right by the driver left leg location. Route the wire from the fuse location through the lick panels to the glove box location. The far left hand corner of the glove box looks to be the most ideal for adding a somewhat low profile 12v outlet. Im adding heated mirrors to my Rogue and used 18 gauge wire and made sure it registered at ~14v while the car is on and ~12v when car is not on to make sure everything is looking good.

Out of curiousity what was the approximate cost of adding the heated mirrors and the work involved?

My Rogue is a winter beater for me so this is something that might actually get some use.

wow that could be really-really costly. id say parts and labor could be $500+

-The 2 heated mirror glass pieces were around $130 i believe (gift)
-15ft 18 gauge Wire ~$5
- 4 pin relay $6
-mini add a switch $17
So the materials cost around $160. Im still in the middle of the project and its going to take around 10 hours of work. I like doing this kind of project and nothing better to do. Getting the glass on and off is the hardest part and VERY VERY FRUSTRATING  , otherwise typical wiring where being small and having small hands will come in handy. Ill try and finish it up this weekend and post a tutorial if I get around to it before school starts back up :gotme

i quoted the $500 as a shop price. he didnt elaborate as to he was doing the install himself.

removing the mirrors & door panels, running the wires through the door, into the a pillar, and then wiring everything will be costly at a shop. we are talking about at least 3-4hours of work. at around $75/hour for small-time custom shops; your looking at $300 just in labor. add in the parts and you are easily over 500. remember if you paid 130 for the mirror glass, doesnt mean thats what you will be charged from an installer. he will make profit on finding you the parts. so 130 will easily be $200 or more.

Thanks, that is actually very reasonable in price (everything but the glass). A writeup would be great as this is something I might look into doing before next winter then.
