Hi Guys,

I am not sure if am the first owner of 2010 Rogue who is facing this issue. I feel like my power steering is not working and the steering has got tough like without power. i did had this issue in 2 years ago and it went away itself in a week. I feel tension in the steering and it shoots back to its resting position with force. i have to keep good amount of pressure to veer it even a little bit in any direction.

I have checked the alignments more than once in last two weeks and it is perfect as per the report. i have scheduled a appointment with the dealer for next week.

i also called nissan to check if there is any recall but it came out negative.

any experience/ideas appreciated

Guys,

dealer has said that it is the power steering motor which is leaking and he gave me an estimate of 1 grand to replace it.

Dealer replaced the power steering motor on my vehicle but I still feel the pressure in the steering. as i described above the steering snaps back to center position after turns instead of moving gently.

is there is any pressure adjustments for the power steering you people know of?

Its electric. On hydraulic steering boxes you can make slight adjustments for things, but this vehicle has 100% electric assist steering. No power steering fluid, no nothing...

There are no adjustments that I am aware of.

I would go back to the dealer and get my $1000 back
