2010 Rogue cold idle issue

This is my first post here. What a great place with huge amounts of info i never knew existed.

My wifes 2010 Rogue has a cold idle oscillation upon start up that remedies itself after about 3 minutes of idling. The idle hunts up and down between 1K and 2K rpm, then stabilizes as it warms up. Vehicle has almost 60K on it and has been displaying this problem for at least 30K.

1st, id like to welcome you to our site! thank you for coming on here, and bring your question for other folks to see, and eventually hear a remedy.

this is a common issue with many cars, and its not that big of a deal- as long as nothing else is wrong). its your ecu adjusting air/fuel ratio to the temp. Since you state you have over 30k i would suggest you blow out and clean AIT(air intake temp) sensor. this usually cleans up the problem.

also:
Try cleaning the throttle body. Carbon builds up and blocks the IAC valve. check for vacuum leaks on all the hoses.

do you get a check engine light?
