Here's the second issue I'm having. I had a mechanic replace the battery for me at the same time as he changed out the transmission. Since then, there has been a beeping every 45 seconds, whether the Rogue is running or not. I've tried googling, can't find anything specific.

It starts and drives normally, other than the beep every (exactly) 45 seconds.

I have tried:
1. using the key to lock/unlock, and unlock lock.
2. using the key to turn on without starting the Rogue 10 times.
3. using the fob to lock/unlock.
4. making sure the hood latch isn't stuck, and slamming it "harder than is polite' to reset the hood switch.

There are no warning lights, no fuses seem to be out, and I'm at my wits end.

Please help!!!

Thank you!

The funniest "clockwork" beep case I ever had was a high-pitched beep at about 10 minute intervals in an NV3500 van. We scoured the car and couldn't locate it, so finally we gathered everybody in the shop and created an "ear circle" hoping it would help us narrow it down. It did, and we became sure the noise was coming from underneath either the right or center second row seat. Problem was, there was absolutely nothing under there. Those seats are removable on the big NV, so our next step was to yank them -- and the problem revealed itself as soon as we did. It was a child's toy trapped in the floor in one of the recessed tracks, dolefully squawking for help on a 99% dead battery.

The point is, noises which shouldn't happen in a car usually originate from something the manufacturer didn't install. I'd be a little suspicious of your new radio. There's nothing in the car which should be beeping like a clock, and in any case, I'm pretty sure the only beeper in a '10 Rogue was inside the cluster.

I apologize for the delayed response, and you raise a very good point. I'm going to check in with the gents who installed the stereo and see if it's something with it. Thank you very much for your help, I will report back as I have more info.

Great thread - VStar, that story had me giggling.

Had a similar experience with a car I had bought to flip. Made a small "chirp" every hour on the hour. Tore the interior apart, found an ancient Casio watch jammed between the seat foam and upholstery. Don't know what kind of battery was in those, but the watch HAD to be 20 years older than the car.
