Good afternoon!

Recently, we bought a 2010 Rogue SL AWD. 104000km. It is an awesome little car! Our other vehicle is a 2005 Pathfinder, also has been a great vehicle for us. (270k km on that one)

The Rogue is a rebuilt status vehicle, and we paid accordingly for it. I noticed that the front bumper they replaced has foglights in it, but the signal switch doesn't have the switch on it to turn them on. I checked the wiring on the back of the foglights, and they are hooked up. Weird.

I also noticed that when it gets dark out, my cluster automatically illuminates. Also weird, as the signal switch I have does not have the provision for automatic headlights.

My question is:

If I got the signal switch for auto headlights and fog lights and installed it, do you think that both of these features would just work?

Don't want to waste the $100 or so to find out it won't.

Any thoughts or experience out there?

Thanks
Terry in Winnipeg

I can provide some non-Nissan experience. I recently had to give up my 4Runner and purchased a Nissan Rogue.

In the 4Runner you had to replace both the light switch stalk (combination switch) and add a second light sensor to the dash. Once you did that, the system worked without any programming or anything else.

I'm brand new to the Nissan but glanced through the stuff I have and, as near as I could tell, there is only one light sensor. The Consult diagram seems to indicate that auto headlights are programmed by default just like in the Toyota. It might be worth a shot to switch out the stalk and see what happens.

Our 2011 Rogue SV AWD did not have foglights. For around $150 I bought the lights from ebay and a steering wheel stalk from RockAuto. My foglights plugged right up and the stalk was super easy to replace. The stalk took about 20 mins start to finish and when I turned on the lights, the fogs came on. They work with the auto on/off too, but our Rogue had auto on/off before I added the fogs. Search this site, I think there are a couple of posts about it.

I just bought a 2016 Rogue SL. What is the correct aiming height for the fog lights. They seem to be aimed just in front of the Rogue, and seems too low. I have had other vehicles with fog lights and they are aimed higher. And my dealership says there is no adjustment for height. I know there is adjustment. Thanks

The dealership is correct, there's no adjustment setting for the fog lights. The specs for the fog lights can be found in the FSM. There's a link to the FSM's in my sig line.

There is adjustment, a 3/4 opening just under the fog lights in the cowling. I used a phillips with an extension , took about 10 min. Aimed on my garage door about 6 inches below my low beams
