Any salesman on here want to let us know when the 2010 Versa's will be released? It must take at least 8 weeks from the time a dealer orders a batch of cars until they actually show up, and the 2010's are rumored to go on sale in September 09. Are the 2010 cars in the system yet? Can you get a 6MT in an SL like the rest of the world?

I don't think anyone would know it if they haven't even released pics for it yet.

There have been a couple of pictures circulated, and the details would indicate that the 2010 models will all have ABS standard. Prior to building them, dealers around the country can pre-order them in various configurations. In their order system they would see the various codes used to identify the different packages. Typically the details of a new model will appear in the ordering system at least 8 weeks prior to the vehicles hitting the showroom floor, so that dealers can order what they want, the manufacturer can build them, and they can ship them to the dealer. For example, the VW dealers already have all the ordering details of the 2010 Rabbit/Golf. You can go in now and order a new 2010 and choose the packages you want.

I'd be curious to know when the 2009 models first hit the dealer showrooms. I've been having a hard time finding a 2009 in the configuration I want and am thinking of waiting for the 2010 to come out.

If I remember right, they should hit dealers in September.

Thanks Promise Land.

Shouldn't dealers already know a few details about the 2010 models by now ? If the cars are going to hit dealer lots in 4-8 weeks, they must be about to start building them any second now !

I got my '09 in September last year, but the models had already been out for while when I decided to buy. I would say they came out in early August. However, they may be holding out to unveil the redesigned model this year at a time that suits them best.

I don't know if the dealers know what they will see on the 2010 models. The dealer / sales portion is separate from the assembly side of the cars. We know things years ahead of the consumer release side of the business. You'll have to find a good dealer that will discuss what they know. The ones around Smyrna / Murfreesboro should be alot better to deal with since they have a factory near by. They usually take care of the customers very well because they have 5,000 customers (plant and supplier employees) in the local economy that won't drive anything but Nissans. Upset one, and you get a negative trend against your dealership.

Our Versas are made in central Mexico, so the delay from plant to distribution centers isn't 1.5 months. More like 1.5 weeks by train.
