I've got a 2010 Infiniti QX56 with approximately 40k miles on it. For some time, I've been having an issue of the transmission not engaging when put into gear after having sat outside. This isn't in extreme cold, talking anywhere from 20-50 degrees F. Basically, I'll start the vehicle, put it into gear and the transmission will not engage. If I hit the gas, the engine will rev with no resulting movements. If I let off the gas, it will either wait, and engage, or rev again where the transmission will jerk when its engaged.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? Anyone else have this problem?

Should be full, I have all fluids tested with oil changes and have double checked with this given the issue.

Should be full or is full? You need to check it, you may have a leak.

+1 for checking fluid level. Also try shifting beyond "D" to see if it engages then. You might have a loose shift linkage or something.
