2010 Qx56 Mystery Part

My wife found this strange part under the front driver seat. It's a 3 inch, L shaped tube. One end has a grey plastic part with a female electrical connector and the other side is this clear piece with a fine wire going across the tube.

Anyone know what this is? I speculate that it is some sort of sensor but can't figure out where to plug it back in.
