I've asked this question before: Is the 2010 Rogue S 360 pre-wired for fog lights? I've yet to get a straight answer. I've been told there is a 50% chance that it is. I've been told that it definitely is. I've been told no. I've been told to remove the front bumper to know for sure. Well, I don't know how, nor do I want to remove my front bumper to check this. I have a friend lined up who will install the OEM fog lights if, in fact, it is pre-wired.

The Nissan website does sell a fog light kit for the 2011's....but that's a different front end now.

I just need a definitve answer. Is the 2010 S pre-wired for fog lights? Surely someone here must have done this by now right?

Also, have emailed my dealership's service and parts dept. this question already and they don't seem to want to give me an answer.

Thanks!

I just remove the bumper of my 2010 S and did not see the prewire for the fogs....Maybe the 360% is prewired.

Good luck with your install.

Globe9,

There is no reliable source of information if your vehicle was pre-wired or not. It's not available via VIN numbers, etc. so the dealer cannot help. It seems hit or miss depending on model year, trim level etc. Nissan makes all sorts of small changes during production runs and there is no way to determine this.

Add to the fact there have only been a small handful of Rogue owners on this forum that have added fog lights which makes it even harder to determine which models have it.

The only way to know for sure is check. I know you don't want to pull the bumper, but there are some drain holes underneath where you can poke around with a flashlight:

Look at this pic. The fog light connector (the yellow one to the left of the air filter on Leo2005's car) could be visible via the drain hole.

Sorry, but this is best we can do. :gotme

Thanks for all the help guys, I really do appreciate it!

I finally got the manager of the service dept. at my dealership to answer my emails. He said that they'd be happy to take my bumper off and see if the Rogue is pre-wired. He said that there's a good chance that it is. I got the impression that they would check, free of charge. The bad news though, if it is pre-wired, it will cost almost $800 for parts and installation(this is a direct quote from manager). He said he knows this is ridiculous and that my best bet would be aftermarket fog lights.

So, how do I go about getting aftermarket fog lights? I want the closest match to OEM fogs that I can get. Where's a good place to buy these and what kind should I buy? Has anyone added aftermarket fogs? Thanks again!!!!

Why to go with aftermarket fog lights when you can get original for cheap? Nissan Sentra has exactly the same lights as Rogue. Here's the set of fog lights from ebay for $110 for Nissan Sentra. This is what I bought for myself except they don't include the brackets and you have to go to dealership to buy them. They're about $15 ea. Now if you want to connect it with original switch then you need a new switch since yours does not have fog switch. If you want to save and make your fog lights independent then you can install a relay and aftermarket switch. So instead of spending ~$100 for the original switch you can install HID kit in your fog lights. My setup cost me less than $300 including the best hid kit from vleds.com

I wasn't sure of the Sentra, Maxima and Rogue share the same fog lights... but after some searching, they appear to be the same.

The correct OEM fog light part no's are also listed in this thread:

Do a google search for the part no's. I've seen OEM fog lights for about $115/each side and knockoff aftermarket ones as cheap as $85/each side.

I bought both for $110 and probably like phillipa said it is a knockoff but they look like original. These fog lights even have the screw on the bottom so you can adjust them without removing the bumper...just like oem. The only problem I experienced with them is they were getting fog inside of the light so I had to apply some silicone around them but after installation you can't even see the silicone from outside. So far I like 'em since they provide great light output(with hid kit of course :) )

Thanks for all the help! Some more questions though....ok, so I have been looking on Ebay for Nissan Sentra fog light kits. What year or years Sentra should I be searching for? I've found some listings that include both fog lights, wiring harness and switch for about $100 or so. I'm sure these aren't really OEM(although some of the results said they were).

I'm going to have Nissan take a look for the wiring harness at my next oil change. If it's NOT there, I should be looking at kits with the harness right?

There is no way I can install these myself. About how much should a mechanic/body shop or one of those stereo/tint installer custom shops charge for something like this? Remember: Nissan dealership quoted me $265 for installation, so I'm guessing one of these types of places should be less right?

Thanks again for all of the help. Hopefully the wires are there and it's just a matter of plug and play, but I've come to learn that with my luck, nothing is ever easy :)

Thanks infiniti_lineup. Your part no's confirm the information I had received from another member who installed the fog lights in his Rogue:

Can you also check the part no's for the hardware and new light switch in the link above?

These all check out fine:

One correction. There's 3 screws to each fog light. 2 of them going to the bracket from fog light and 1 more holding the bracket on the bumper. To make sure the bracket is secured the clip goes on the opposite side of that screw. Total 3 screws+clip ea. fog light.

Any difference on part numbers for a 2010 Rogue.

The fog light part no's are the same for all '08-10 Rogue models except the KROM edition.
