2010 Nissan Sentra SR

Ok me and my fiance just bought a new Sentra SR! So far i love the car! We got the SR really cheap. We were actually looking into a base model (with the chrome stip down the door! eww), but i saw the one on the lot with the spoiler and wheels and asked about it and the guys says "hmm it's listed as the same price as the other on....weird" lol so needless to say we jumped right on it and walked away with out base model priced SR!!

My question is because i love how sporty the car looks, what should i do to make this thing look a little more sporty without spending a TON of money!? I am previous owner of a Acura RSX-S, but lost it in my divorce! I know this will never be i type s all though i would love it to look kinda sporty without trying to look ricer or wanna be!

My thoughts were to first tint the windows i know i don't want 5%, but i'm not sure that i want 35% (which is legal in MD where I live) either. I actually originally thought that since the car is black a lighter tint would look better.

I also contemplated rain guards. I think they just do something for the look of the car.

I don't want to lower the car, because it kills shocks and i can't afford coilovers and wouldn't go over well with the wifey!

I like the lexus tag light look, but don't know how to go about it. and i also love the yellow fog lights, but am in the same boat there.

i have also seen the Spec V grill they have on ebay but it seems cheap and i want it to look good but would love to go that way if it does or if anyone has some good ideas for the grill!

little tweaks: is it wrong for me to want to take of the sentra logo and the SR logo? i actually had thought about putting an SER on it but i still dont know.

And not anytime soon but down the road would love to get the wheels from the spec v or se-r the ones with bbs kinda look. Love them are there replicas out there are the hard to get ahold of any price range?

Thanks for anyones help! I came from a love of honda's, but kinda grew out of it. I was forced to drive my fiance's frontier and fell in love with it and am not turning back!

Eyelids are cool and fairly cheap. You can make your own, or this company sells them(still i think)http://www.supernissans.net/forums/grou ... ipped.html

Other than that you could get wheels, roof wing(stillen or ebay), frount lip, hood, or do some custom stuff.

Taking the SR off is a good idea, but please dont make it something it is not and put SER on it

I spent some time doing "budget" mods on one of the first B16's in AZ... Here's what got done:

Debadging... it's a nice touch on these, especially on a black car. Do it right.

Lowering springs and shocks are a little less expensive than you'd think.

Spec-V wheels are a nice upgrade and can be had for cheap. Found the ones I used on Craigslist.

Tinted the windows and the taillights, and installed aftermarket fog lights (I used driving lights) in the stock openings.

yeah i'm not even in the position to buy wheels yet but am looking around to find some! none yet, but i gotta have the spec v ones they are hot! i'm pretty positive i'm gonna debadge but not sure whether to do just the SR or the Sentra one too!?! I had tinted tail lights on my civic and my rsx-s and got stopped so thats a no go!! I would lower the car but like I said before i don't think my fiace would go for it(plus it ruined the struts i had on my civic)! I am looking into hood dampers just because i work on the car so it's nice and easy!

edit: what did you mean by stock driving lights? and do you know how to do they yellow fog lights? Is it a tint or a new light, or bulb?

yes, definitely take out the SR and the Sentra badges. I have a black one and it looks great and clean with no name on the back, I've even had a few people ask what type of car that was. I also have the hood dampers from Redline Tuning and just absolutely love it. For the fog lights, you can use the lamin-x yellow tint paper, I haven't done that yet but will soon.

cool. i can 't find the front lip on stillen for the 2010 model!

I could be wrong, but lip should fit if it is any 07+ SR, SER, or spec-v listing. Stillen or garage door is the only ones that are available right now. Another company is suppose to have one in the works though.

FYI: The Spec V wheels are 5 lugs. Your SR is only 4 lugs...
