Thank you for replying. I haven't heard the first two types of noise but my car does have the third one!! The dealer identified the noise but they said they can do nothing about it!. The noise I was talking about in this topic is different ~ I just sent my car to the local dealer and hopefully can get positive answer at the end of the day. I will keep updating so that anyone who faces the same issue can get more inf.philipa_240sx wrote:Welcome to the NICOClub Rogue Forums Jason usask!
Noises can be difficult to troubleshoot. There are a few known noises from the CVT which are completely normal:
1) Low rpm vibration. Typically found during city driving. This is caused by very high gearing and low engine rpm's.
2) Whirring noises during acceleration/deceleration. Sometime louder when the outdoor temperature is very warm (ie summer).
3) Rattling noise on deceleration. Common on '08-'09 Rogue's, new TCM software eliminated most of the noise.
Have you had the dealer check this out yet?
It normally happens when the RPM maintains at around 1500.TaiLuu wrote:Need more info!
Does this happen in a specific RPM or a any RPM you bring it too?
AWD?
Thank you for replying. I did contact Nissan Canada but didnt get anything back from them yet. I don't think they did instal the TCM. The dealer mentioned that the problem was commonly seen on 08 and 09 model but Nissan Canada couldn't solve it properly on 10 model. Therefore, the dealer said there is no choice but waiting.philipa_240sx wrote:Jason,
I would keep after the dealer about this issue. Did you ask them if the latest transmission (TCM) software was installed?
