2010 Nissan Rogue Idle Engine Rumble

Hopefully you can help me out with this problem.

When I am sitting at a stop light with my A/C on, car in drive, engine warm about once a minute I get a severe shaking and the RPM's drop a couple hundred. I think shaking is pretty normal, but this is more violent the passenger door shakes pretty bad.

If I have the A/C off or the car is in park I don't have the problem.

I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue with 49,000 miles.

Did you check if there was oil?

Does RPM drops to like 450-600 for a moment and goes back to normal? If it drops to 200 like you stated then the car should stall. If so, could be a sign that the transmission is dying. At least that's what happened to me in my '08 Rogue but there's number of possible problems like bad alternator/belt etc. There's treads on this forum so you can use search button on the right.

It drops 200 rpm from its regular idle. It doesn't drop to 200 rpm, that would be really bad. Sorry for the confusion.

Check plugs and air filter.

How many miles do you have on each?

air filter is pretty new. I haven't changed the plugs yet so they have 49,000 miles.
