2010 Nissan Murano

The second generation Murano, introduced as a 2009 model, combines visually distinctive styling, a “mobile suite” interior design, advanced technology and a refined, premium driving feel – creating a modern crossover SUV like no other.

All 2010 Muranos feature a VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque and an advanced Xtronic CVT™ that provides a sporty and smooth driving experience. Murano is available in front-wheel drive or with an Intuitive All-Wheel Drive system, and all Muranos come standard with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with a Traction Control System (TCS) for all-weather confidence.

Standard or available technology includes Nissan Intelligent Key™ with Push Button Start, Interface System for iPod®, 11-speaker Bose® premium audio system, an advanced touch screen navigation system with 9.3GB Music Box™ hard drive, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System.

For the 2010 model year, changes to Murano are relatively minor. It is available in six models: Murano S FWD, Murano S AWD, Murano SL FWD, Murano SL AWD, Murano LE FWD (new for 2010) and Murano LE AWD. It goes on sale in October 2009.

Revisions for 2010 include:

•Murano LE FWD model added•Leather Package and Moonroof Package availability widened on Murano SL FWD•Privacy glass added on Murano S (now standard on all models)•Intelligent Key added as standard on Murano S and SL models•Simplified exterior and interior color combinations•Vehicle Security System added as standard on Murano SL•Dual Panel Moonroof now standard on Murano LE•Roof rails now standard on Murano SL

I'm going to copy and paste my post from another forum site here since my thoughts are still the same...

"So really nothing new at all. Nissan just did a bit of package shuffling to reorganize some options. Everything here was available from the factory on some other trim level. With that said, I like that the LE does not automatically mean AWD now. I would have probably chosen the LE FWD trim if it was available to me.

Sadly, the iPod connector still was not broken out as a single option or added to a lower level package than the LE. This means once the special edition 360 package is gone, the iPod connector won't be available on the SL trims anymore. Making the LE slightly cheaper by having AWD optional doesn't make up for not including or making available the iPod connector on SL trims. I expect to see another year of SL owners confused about iPod connectivity once the 2010 is out and owners sign up."

Sure wish they would have made their 7 speed auto std with the CVT maybe optional. Nothing wrong with either except the CVT can't be fixed, only replaced for about $6K.

Then who wants to put about $6K into a vehicle with better than 100K on it???

Happy holidays to all! Seems like about as much activity here in this thread as there is interest in the mods to the Mo for 2010

I have my LE since April of '08 - all options except the DVD in the headrests. I probably would have gone with the FWD, but the AWD has actually come in handy in a few situations. What I would have liked to see is a change in the way the climate control works... Seems the AC come on in all situations - even at 22 degrees when I put it on auto... I can shut it off in all modes but defrost. I know about the drying effect of the AC and all, but I'd prefer the option of having be my decision rather than the car's

As for the 6K potential repair bill, if one is to keep the Mo past warranty, then a look at Warranty Direct would be a good idea for their Luxury+ coverage (or reliable competitor).

Hello, all! I bought my 2010 Murano SL yesterday. I'm completely confused as to which compact flash drive to purchase. Help, please!

I just bought my Murano 2 weeks ago. It has in warranty. I'm very disappointed with the driver's seat problem like a lot of people is having here. My seat is not sliding forward anymore. At least not on the right side! Its also making a strange noise and is somehow twisting to the right, because only the left part is sliding now. All other power seat features are working fine.

We just picked up our 2010 last Wednesday.

They have extended the warranty on the CVT on the new Murano's

6 Years 120,000 miles, same power train warranty 5yr 60k, same stock warranty 3/36k.

I wish Nissan would follow the other manufactures and sell all cars with 100K warranty.

We purchased Gold Preferred extended warranty 6yr 100K, dealer gave us credit of $1k for the remainder of the warranty

on our 08 Max we traded, so we got the gold for less than the dealer cost of the silver preferred.

Regards
Don

I was thrilled when I got the letter in the mail stating that my warranty on my CVT on my Altima was extended, certainly a fabulous deal!
