Are there step by step instructions on how to chance the transmission oil in a CVT trans?

Is it not outlined in the factory service manual?

I wouldn't think it would be any different than flushing a normal trans... just disconnect one of the hoses at the trans cooler and let it pump itself out, while you fill it back up with fresh stuff.

There is more to it than that. It's kind of involved task. Nissan is supposed to have a machine that does a complete flush. You have to use CVT fluid for the whole flush so it is expensive at $20/qt.

You have to get the fluid up to 170 degrees to check the level, and s*** like that. I believe you need the Consult III program to reset in the computer that the fluid has been changed. Consult is also the only way to tell the remaining life left with the fluid.

Here is a DIY for the Rogue. cvt-transmission-fuid-change-t572758.html
