Comparable setup. Besides, stock for stock with no tune on your z32, a stock HR should be able to beat it in a straight line and any other z33 will beat it on a track. The z33 weighs lighter, has bigger stock brakes, has a more responsive stock suspension and a better weight distribution than its older brother.

I want to say it's 260hp.. Haven't looked at N/A power in a while.

Surprisingly they are neck and neck, when my z32 was stock. Now that i have a full 3" exhaust and intake i pull on an HR in 3rd gear.

To be honest i dont track race and really dont care to. Ide rather go fast as hell in a straight line. I mean comn when people talk about whos car is faster, they arent talking about going in circles around a track...

The factory brakes on the 370 sport and Nismo models are made by Akebono and dwarf the Brembos from the previous generation 350z.

14" front rotors, 13.8" rear rotors with huge 4 piston front, 2 piston rear calipers.

(Infiniti G37 sport brakes shown, they are the SAME as the 370z sport brakes)

Can you say that you can beat a similarly modded HR?

That's YOUR definition of fast. 350z's aren't drag cars. They're built for the track, hence the better brakes, suspension package, and N/A motor.

Why do you keep saying similarly modded HR....? Stock z23tt vs stock z33HR are neck and neck, i said that already... Stock z32tt > stock z33de

There's been more than enough of the Z sibling rivalry (not to mention the campaigning for Porsche's engine superiority).

Everyone needs to keep it on topic or start a new one.

Citrus - that shot of the two calipers together is great. Only now my Brembos are now suffering from piston envy.

The bad:no torque to go along with the powerno adjustable front camber19s all the way around

If Nissan were serious about putting a car together for people to race, put in adjustable front/rear control arms. Give 18s instead of 19s, take out a lot of the amenities (rear wiper, power locks and windows, etc.)19s are too damn expensive to buy and extremely hard to come by.Come on Nissan, give us something to compete against the RX8s!!!!
Completely agree... they need a package sort of like Mitsu's MR that has functional track goodies in a lighter weight, faster car.

Its funny how old school kicks new schools a**
Old school kicks new school a**???? Why because you turned your boost up (so its not in stock form) and you beat a STOCK z33?Bone Stock vs bone stock, straight line, cornering, braking, handling, etc, the z33 wins

The ultimate deciding factor with the two cars head to head on any track will be driver.Does the z32 gain more power with simple mods? Yes, its F/I so it should.

Back on topicHopefully this is the first in a series of 'hop ups' Nissan does with the 370. The first Nismo version 350z wasn't much over the base. The Nismo didn't get much better until 2007. Lets hope Nissan follows the same trend but gets more aggresive with it.

Straight line isn't looking too good for the z33.. The z32 pulls in 3rd gear.

On Top Gear, to make sure there is no driver error, they do the run 3 times. If it's the same result, they show one of the runs. These drag races are not up to driver difficulties. The Z32 really was faster.

I thought about buying a 350Z when my friend had his up for sale. I've driven a lot of great 90's sports cars to include a TT MKIV Supra and TT 300ZX. I'm also used to my lightly modded 240. When I drove the 350Z, performance wise, I'd say it was almost boring. My sisters automatic G35 coupe was seriously heavy feeling and boring. IMO, it takes too much money to get newer cars to be as fun as the older cars.

The 2010 370Z does looks a lot better than the current 370Z. I'd still pick a used C5 Z06 or C6 Vette over it anyday though.

I expected more from the interior. the seats look bland as hell, esp since its Nismo badged

they look like s15 or regular z33 seats with a nismo badge... which still doesn't top r34 gtr seats... or even r32 gtr seats

i think the exterior looks fabulous. nice and clean. could use some canards in front, but like how they got rid of the sharks teeth looking things on the front bumper. also, nissan could bump up the interior and throw some recaros in, like the stock evo's. come on nissan. especially in the nismo edition cars......
