Requirements are not car specific. If he has a roll bar, as long as it meets the "2 inch" rule, he is ok. This means the roll bar must be at least 2" taller than the top of his helmet when he is seated. He will however, need a 4 point (or more) harness.

That's great, the more the merrier. If you want your girlfriend to join you in the paddock free, she can either register here, or you can give me her full name.

Just so it's clear, ride-alongs are with staff only, as in passengers in staff cars.

Lol, that's not clear. I think I'm a bit confused what you mean, or maybe you're confused with what I mean. I am coming to the event in my car and a friend will be coming with me, except he won't bring his car; he will arrive with me. He won't be a ride-along on course.

Also, I would like to volunteer as a tech inspector. Do I tell you that here? Do I need to tell someone else? Thanks.

We really appreciate your help with tech. It's basically show up and lend a hand periodically during the day.

I'm sorry if I mis-interpreted. We get requests by people that want to take passengers out on the track with them (aka ride-alongs). We generally don't allow it unless it's in a staff member's car.

For autocross novices, who might seek tips or a ride to get familiar with the layout before venturing out, there will be ample opportunity to get rides/advice from folks that know the course well.

Got you, thanks.. Just want to double check, does your Miata have a roll bar that'll pass the broomstick rule?

He has a roll bar we just have to check the height but right now we think he's good if not I may let him run my car or he'll just be part of my crew.

Also wanna add another guest/crew memberPatrick Medland

P.S. What can we bring into the paddlock I wanted to bring:a small charcoal grillcooler full of nonalcoholic beverages snack foodchairsetc. Items to provide comfort

And how close could a registered attendee in the paddock get to the actual course during a run for pictures or video?

Carlisle Fairgrounds won't allow anyone in the infield while the course is hot. Here, I drew up a quick sketch of roughly where the spectator line is and arrows to show the path around the track (for autoX). Keep in mind, we add lots of cones for autoX, so the course it much more technical than it looks with this satellite image. For drifting, cones are removed and it's open territory.

Also, just a quick note: an unregistered spectator must stay behind the yellow line and on top of the hill. So they can't be down in the bottom left corner right next to the start line.

You/re welcome to bring all of the comfort items you'd like. As info, we should have a big gas grill on hand to make burgers/dogs. There will also be a couple of large tents, one inside the paddock and one outside the paddock with some folding chairs/tables.

Torry laid out a nice map. Inside the fenced-in paddock does get you pretty close to the action. Outside the paddock, that row of trees is actually on top of a ridge overlooking the track. Pretty good views of the entire track from up there. There will be a lot of spectators on hand especially for the drifting.

And Patrick is now on the list too. Thanks.

It's like a "generous do your thing but get done." Depending on how many people are in line, use your own judgment and be considerate of the time. If there are 15 people waiting in line to drift, only spend a few minutes out there. If there are only 1 or 2 people, you might spend 5 or 10 minutes out there. If we think you've gone enough, we'll let you know to come in.

Exactly. We want anyone who wants to drift to get out there and have fun.And with so many hours of drift time available over the two days, we're confident all drifters will get in as many runs as they want.

Carlisle told AZHitman that they were planning to fix the track in late April. I don't know the extent, but I'm sure,at minimum, they'll be patching those corners.

a2kstang, got you on this list.

You dont want to know the bill i got when i had to repair the cracked lip, torn tabs... etc from launching my car off the end of the track after each run (and no, i will not slow down)
