I just bought a 2010 maxima, it is fine in city drive great acceleration and everthing. i once took it out to the freeway and after about 20 mins,it started to lose rpms. the rpms would come down to idle and the car would stop. no issue on ac performance no, service lights or any thing. i turned it off and restartedm restarted fine had the low rpms though. i came back home and after 2 hours restarted the car. the car is fine as nothing ever happened and still no lights. can any one help me with this. i frequent on the freeway but now i am scared to go on a long route in this car. in the city it is working great

Tough one here-sometimes components fail when they get hot and work again when they
cool off (Coil packs are notorious for this)

Try monitoring temperatures on your engine, engine oil, antifreeze, and transmission fluid first
to play it safe
Smell the oils off of your dipstick to tell if they are burned

Look and see if there are any electrical connectors or air hoses which might have vibrated loose

Just a guess... Does it matter if the fuel tank is on empty or full when the problem occurs? I have heard
cars that run their gas tanks on empty often have to replace the fuel pump due to overheating
