I've got a 2010 Maxima S with 99k miles that I'm about to sell but it's now developed a problem accelerating from a dead stop. It started happening very occasionally 2 weeks ago but now happens about 1/3 of the time from a dead stop. In normal drive mode from a dead stop with medium throttle to get up and go it will act like fuel is cut around 2000rpm for about 2 seconds then gets up and goes just fine. The rpms drop down about 500rpm in that time span. It only happens from a stop and I haven't encountered the problem when in manual shifting mode (however I don't use it that often so maybe it would still happen). No codes. It had a tune up about 3 months ago and everything still looks good. I have one of those expensive Bosch code reader that can tell you more about your car than you'd ever need and it tells me that my fuel pressure checks out, haven't had any misfires in the last 325k stored combustions of cylinder, the cats are flowing well, both VVT monitors are putting out the right timing, everything checks out. It's stumping me. Can anyone point me somewhere? Has anyone else heard of this? Again, it only happens from a stop, doesn't shake or judder or anything, just acts like it lost fuel for lose few seconds.
