If it's either a key-left or door-ajar chime, check your door switches. Worn-out rubbers can cause the door signals to false as the chassis flexes over bumps or around bends. Depending on whether the BCM or cluster controls the chime in your particular ride, if it happens fast enough, the car may not respond with a visual warning.
