Hello everyone! First post here, but I’ve had the car for about a year. Anyway, I cannot seem to solve this bizarre issue. At first, I assumed the subwoofer was blown and that was causing the rattling, but I removed all of the panels that cover the subwoofer (inside the car and in the trunk). I discovered that the subwoofer isn’t blown, rather it’s causing the metal frame it’s bolted onto to rattle. By applying pressure to the metal frame, the rattling stops. Do any of you know how to correct this? I’m beyond frustrated as the rattling is so loud that I don’t want to even use my sound system. (Factory Bose System) the Infiniti dealership “cannot replicate the issue” and I have no other options. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Curt Master

Welcome to the forum.

Does any part of the rear deck that rattles unscrew from the rest? If so, you could use a washer between some rubber pieces or something...or throw some sound deadening stuff in there on the underside of the rear deck...

I'm not familiar with the deck so no idea if either option is viable.

I know mine rattles, and I suspected it could be the sub but I found that when I put pressure on the decklid area between the window and the third brake light, I could get it to stop, now to go about figuring out how to stop it

Extra padding under the parcel shelf trim should solve it, or wedge something between the glass and the board.

For the OP, got any pictires to help visualize?
