Hey Everyone,

I just joined the NICO club with a 2010 M35. I do not have a DVD player in my car but I do have the navigation package. I'm wondering can I add a dvd player and how hard is it? Also will I have to cut any wires? When i open my middle console i just see an ipod connector and the 12v outlet, no wires for dvd. Does the cd player in the dash play dvd's? I've got little kids so i'm just trying to have something for them to watch. If anyone can provide some input, ideas, help I would truly appreciate it, thanks!

Honestly the amount of costs and effort to have it integrated with the rear monitor it's just quicker and cheaper to buy those units which mount to the back of the headrest.

I would be happy just using the Nav screen to show DVDs if I can.

The DVD player (Brand new) will likely cost you more than just buying those portable DVD screens but your choice.

I can't help you with part#'s but I know you would need a new glovebox liner, the DVD player. What I'm not sure of is the possibly the connector and wiring (someone plz confirm), and possibly the proper BOSE amplifier as well (I believe you need this but not 100%). Do you have the 5.1 BOSE audio system?

Hey MSVARA how do I know what version of Bose do I have? Also yea I wouldn't mind putting in a DVD player into the glove or center console. But I'm not sure on how to connect it and if there's any side effects other wiring issues.

Thanks!!!

Do you have speakers on top of your drivers and passengers seats? Those are the surrounds. I actually doubt you would have 5.1 because it doesn't make sense if you don't have the DVD player. The question is will adding a DVD player alone without the remaining components work? If you search through the forum I'm sure someone has asked that question before.
