2010 Infiniti EX is now on US site

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I haven't thoroughly looked through the whole thing, but the 2010 is now labeled on the EX35.

The main change ive notice is that in Build and Price

you are now required to either pick Navi + Premium Pkg + Teck Pkg

OR

you are required to pick Navi + Premium Pkg + 18" Wheel Pkg

but this is only on the AWD Journey version - haven't looked at the other models

oh wait, nevermind.... it's not the way i wrote before...

for some reason, in order to get the tech pkg, you have to delete the 18" wheel pkg.

interesting...

I think the 2009 model run has to be the shortest in history, introduced the end of May, 2009, the 2010 introduced the end of September 2009. All the big changes everyone expected for 2010 did not happen. They might come out with a 2011 four or five months from now with the changes, who knows.

well we now KNOW there is nothing different. I think it is a method for them to hack up the monthly and also to sell off their 09's.

they are still making money.

I think I'm right because I was checking the few dealerships near me, and all of their new 09 models are sold. They only have 08 pre-owned models now. And no 2010 models in inventory. it's just their way of boosting sales by slapping on a big fat band aid that tricks ppl who don't know the business as well.

that's why i keep telling those new posters who are contemplating about buying to hold out until December to buy their EX.

i'm still confused as to why the 18" wheels have to be removed for the tech pkg though

Yeah, that's weird. My 2008 has both of those, but it looks like for 2010 they're reducing the number of option combinations (also I think roof rails are required now). At least the Around View Monitor is now separate from the Tech Package. The AVM is the main reason I got the Tech Pkg, so giving up the other stuff to get the 18" wheels wouldn't be that big of a deal, but still annoying that they don't let people have both.

I just picked up an 09 EX35 Journey AWD a couple weeks ago. The dealer only had 2 in stock and neither had the NAV/AVM package that I wanted. They located two others at different dealers that met my criteria and did a dealer swap. I got the impression that there were very few to choose from. Mine was right off the truck though. Still had the tape on it.

Speaking of roof rails, I noticed when building an 09 online, there were no options to delete the roof rails. So it seems to me that this was only an 08 option. Not that I mind, I like the way they look. Just odd.

Lastly, I've noticed a lot of discussion about the '10s getting more rear seat room via knee cut outs in the front seats. I noticed my 09 has this already. Is this different than what everyone else has? I'll take pics and start a new thread on it.

first off, arnold, MO eh? haha i went to WashU in the STL.

anyway, i think all of them come with roofrails now, that is a topic that was covered before.

with regards to more knee space in the back, how do you know it's bigger? did you see a previous 08 model and notice a difference?

also, all dealerships are making it appear like they are low on EXs...i know for a fact that the nezt shipment is mid-end of this month. So they are only just trying to offload their leftovers.

I worked at WashU for five years. I was a SysAdmin at the medical school. Too funny.

I did drive an 08 for a day as a loaner while my G was being serviced. But I didn't look at the back seats enough to say for sure. But from what I've read on here, it sounds like there were no knee cut outs before. Is that not the case?I'll get some pics.

I have worked with the auto industry for years, every manufacture puts out real good offers the last week or two of the year, they want to hit sales goals etc.

One cannot be sure the offers will be better than right now, I just think you have a better chance than not, based on past experience.

exactly

also general car sales volume increases at the end of the year, Christmas/Chaunakuh is one of the best sales periods, and generally you find yourself able to grab a nicer price on cars anyway.

however there may be an incentive offered now that may not be offered then, so pick how you wanna do this

ive had mine for a bit under a month, i probably should've waited, but i really wanted to get rid of the TL

Excellent.. hopefully this will now make my 08 EX35 with Tech + 18" wheels a collectors item and boost the resale price by a few k. yeah right.
