I brought my 2010 G37 Sedan to the dealer for first oil change and they told me I have two recalls, one for fixing the Seek function of the radio via a software update and the other for a software update of the NAV. They couldn't tell me what the NAV fix was about. I asked if the fixes would get rid of my preset stations and NAV address book settings etc and they said no. I let them do both fixes and there were indeed no losses of what I had setup beforehand. I hadn't noticed any problems with either the radio or NAV. I asked how come I didn't get any advance notice and was told that I'll probably get it in the mail sometime soon. Let's see how long that takes.

Are you sure recall not TSB?

The word recall was used by them. If and when I get a notice in the mail, I'll report the exact wording. Sounds like it would be a TSB though.

The NAV issue is a TSB. Had it done today duing the 7500 mile service. No real details on what was corrected.

From invoice:

PERFORMED ITB10-031
INF REPROGRAM NAVI ITB10--P0336

I got that same one. I'm not a big fan of putting the cars' VIN numbers on the outside of those notices.

That's funny. I got no notices in the mail yet they did a software update on the NAV and told me they couldn't tell me any details on it at all. LOL It would have been nice to know that they were doing a iphone compatibility, nav, radio, and blue-tooth software update. Perhaps that just came out after my visit last week. Who knows.
