Hey guys, I have a 2010 G37x coupe. I just got a Verizon Iphone and I'm having trouble hooking it up through the USB connection in the center console. I plug it in using a standard Ipod cable and nothing happens on the phone screen and on the Nav monitor in the USB mode it says " Check USB or Ipod" and thats it. I have had my friends ATT Iphone in the same car using the same cable and it worked perfectly. Any ideas? Thanks!

I believe you need to pair your I Phone to the Bluetooth in the car
Go to the Bluetooth menu on your I Phone.
Press the talk button on your car and state "Setup" then pair phone. On your I phone menu press search for device. The usual password is 1234

Sorry for the confusion.
You mentioned the Verizon I Phone.
Are you following the instructions in the owners manual to set up the ipod?
My 06 doesn't have the aux jack for an ipod
When you press the aux button on your console and your ipod is playing with the cable connected you don't hear anything?
Could be a defective cable?

No It comes up for a second that it's connecting but never does, just gives me the check usb or ipod, I also did some research and a lot of people with ipods and iphones are having this issue, they should have kept the A/V inputs in the newer 37s, it was so much easier in my 2007 G35.

there was a software update for the 2010 g37 for iphone connectivity, map corrections, and bluetooth issues... make sure you have the lastest software for you car. the Infiniti dealer should apply the update for free.

Is your friend and your Iphone the same generation? If not that could e it. The new generation Iphone needs a different cable. You can get it online pretty cheap. Without that it won't charge the phone. Try to get the update from the dealer and see how it goes after. But definitelly should look into the new cable.

Can't you just play the songs via blue tooth connection?

Actually on the 2010 models, you use your iphone usb cable and it will charge all apple ipod/iphone devices. Granted not as fast but it will.

Yes, there is a TSB for the 2010 and 2011 G37's in regards to call waiting and a few other things. It's ITB10-066 and you can find it here under the electrical section: http://www.infinitig37.com/Infiniti-G37 ... itins.html

I have the verizon iPhone and it connects fine via the center console cable and i can access it through the navigation screen. However, the phone does not charge. Why does the cable do essentially everything that it is supposed to do, EXCEPT charge the phone? LOL

NOTHING works except bluetooth phone. No USB audio connection, and no Bluetooth audio connection!
