2010 G37 Automatic trans.

I was reading my service manual and I am confused about when the car needs the AUTO Trans fluid changed? I am going with the service two interval but changing the oil every 3750/3 months..I believe if I read it right it needs it at 30000 miles/24 months but then it says except for 7 speed auto??? im confused I have a 2010 INFINITI G37 auto..

I think Infiniti needs to revise their maintenance guides, they just don't make any sense. Their online maintenance guide lists "replace automatic transmission fluid" as a premium service every 30k miles, but doesn't list it under Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 at any interval. I'm a very long way off on needing it changed anyway, but almost posted the same question after looking through the info from Infinit.

Thanks infiniti_lineup and g25dragon..I plan to do a oil change every 3750 miles/3 months and doing service inteval 2 schedule but my question at 30k should I do the premium service..If not which of those services is needed at 30k coolant,differental,drive belts?? I know that the auto service is needed but should I do a replace fluid and filter or just a flush??? Thanks again guys

yeah it doesnt list transmission service anywhere... i thought that was odd too, but i know ill be asking about it around 30k

Okay, so here's my opinions on the list of "premium". Premium is more for your peace of mind and probably won't make your car last any longer than it would if you just followed the other schedules. And your warranty does not require you to follow the premium schedule. If you have the money and aren't sure, go ahead, it will make you sleep better at night. Otherwise, you can selectively choose what needs to be done.

- Lubricate all locks/hinges
can't imagine how much Infiniti would charge for that, an hour labor?

- Replace automatic transmission fluid
as hard as this AT works, 30k-45k seems reasonable.

- Replace differential oil
30k seems a little extreme, maybe 45k-60k?

- Replace engine drive belts
Most likely not necessary, a good honest mechanic can usually tell you if the belts still look like they're in good shape or need to be replaced.

- Replace radiator cap
easy enough, but probably not necessary.

- Replace wiper blades
you know when they need to be replaced.
