Hi Nico's,

I want to know if a 2010 G37 comes with the ability for the alarm system to auto-arm itself after all the doors are closed and a period of time has elapsed. Right now I can exit the vehicle and the lights will go off after 30 seconds, but the vehicle will not arm itself. I must use the FOB or the button on the door handle to arm it. I'd like it to just go into auto-arm when 30/60 seconds has passed, just in case I forget to take action.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure it's a setting...have you looked at the owners manual?

Yes. The manual makes reference to auto-locking, but that relates to the door auto-locking when you put the car in gear or hit 15 MPH. It tells you how to arm/disarm the system using the doors or key FOB, but no specific reference to walking away and the car arming itself. I just find that odd, all my cars factory systems do that as do aftermarket systems.

I could be expecting too much, but I just want to see if anyone here can confirm it does or doesn't have auto-arming. If it does, maybe tell me how to enable it accordingly.

if you unlock your car and never open a door, the car will relock and arm its self after a period of time. Thats all ive witness and read.
