I've got a few notes on this I thought I'd share for those other people who want foglights but their car didn't come with them. Go ahead and flame me if anyone has posted info on this before, or if I'm posting in the wrong area.

Let me know what you think.

1. There is no foglight kit for the 2010 coupes out yet; however the sedan kit will work with some extra parts (I'll put more details later)
2. When you order the sedan kit make sure you get the new inserts that are for cars with foglights (asking at your local dealership is the easiest way, the plastic parts are like 8 bucks per).
3. The foglight wires are hard to find, make sure you have them before buying the kit (this means take your car, put it on jack stands, ramps whatever, take off plastic pieces, grab a flashlight and look).
4. Use the OEM instructions as best you can (linked below), I've made a few notes with pictures for further help on the installation.
5. Always remove your battery cable when doing anything electrical, ESPECIALLY when working around the airbags. Wait a few minutes to let the airbag system discharge (just to be on the safe side) before messing with the steering column.
6. This only took me like an hour and a half, and that included the trip into auto zone to pick up more parts and I was taking pictures along the way, so it's pretty easy if you're prewired.

Needed:

Socket to remove battery cable
Flat blade screwdriver
Torx screwdrivers (I forget what side)
jack and jack stands or ramps will help tons but aren't needed if you're skinny enough to crawl under the car

2x speed nuts (match them to the pack in the kit)
2x bolts (match them to pack in the kit)

you might have to register to view those instructions

That said I'll start you with the before and after pics of my car (before is passenger side, after is drivers side)

Before:

After:

Starting:

Remove the massive plastic under guard by putting your flat head screwdriver under the lip of the top part of the plastic clip.

Find the fog light wires;

Passenger side is by the washer fluid reserve and this one is harder to find (picture)

Image

Drivers side is by horn (easy to find this one, see picture)

Image

Remove the factory bumper inserts, to do this reach around the back and pinch the clips in (pictures of clips)

on plastic piece

clipped in car

Use your torx screwdriver to remove the plastic housing around the foglight so it will fit in the slot, you can see why it won't fit from the picture below.

as you can see (maybe? my pictures are bad ok, don't judge me) the plastic sheathing gets in the way

Plastic sheathing alone:

Put the clips and foglights on like instructions.

hole filled by foglight:

Follow instructions for switch replacement and you should not have any problems.

Now for some more pictures of my pretty 2010 dark slate Altima!

great writeup!! I too have the misfortune of getting my coupe w/o foglights; i might look into this mod.

1) the speed nuts & bolts came with the foglight kit or you had to purchase them separately?

2) how much $ did you end up paying for the sedan foglight kit?

1. it comes with 2 bolts and 2 nuts, but you need to buy 2 more of each

2. about 320 when all was said and done, probably get cheaper from the internet then the dealership for the kit, which is the bulk of the cost (296 with tax)

try courtesyparts for a cheaper kit, I just bought the kit from the dealership because it would be easier to return if needed

Great thanks, 1st on my list..

It's amazing that the kit fits both but Nissan only lists it for the Sedan...

What that all about??

They don't know what they are talking about. You can't buy the kit with the plastic housings for the coupe. You have to buy them and then buythe kit.

I have the part numbers for the inserts, they are in a file on my other computer. I will post them later.

Ok, found them:
62256-zx10B and 62257-zx10B
Hope this helps.

Did my install on Friday morning. It took me about and hour or so. It looks great. Thanks for the help. I was able to do it with out removing the large plastic underguard or the bumper inserts. I was able to remove one of the clips in the plastic underguard (closest ones to the front corners) and then slip my arm in and remove the finishers. Then I used a flashlight and found the fog light wires. The drivers side was easy but the other I had to look but it was just taped up next to the Washer fluid bottle. I was then able to slip the fog lights in from the front opening next to the fog light opening. (becareful not to scratch the lights, also the passenger side was a bit harder).

I followed this guide and wanted to show my success. Relatively easy with the 999F1-UW000/1 kit and the 62256(7)-zx10b inserts. Didn't have to remove the 3 screws by the wheel either.

Looks good. Great write up. My hubby did the fogs on my 09, had to tweak it a lil but, but none the less, I'm happy With the job he did. Next up he's gonna do the HIDs in the fogs for me. I told him I wanna do the headlights as well. He said he's gonna talk to dangeris on here and get my headlights done.
