2010 Bluetooth phonebook issue

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi,

Just picked up our new EX35 last night and the salesman setup the bluetooth for us while we waited for some paper work. It wouldn't download our contacts so he tried do enter them manually. He followed the owners manual but when he selected phonebook, it only has 3 choices (a,name, list names, help)...the manual states it should have a add name choice as well. Our phone is listed as compatable with the blutetooth. Any ever seen this? Seems like a s/w update might be required.

Thanks,
C

Honestly, when it comes to the bluetooth I simply live with whatever it does. Every phone is different, so if you have to enter them manually, so be it, at least you only have to do it once. Just my thought, sorry I did not have any better ideas.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that we can't enter the contacts manually...the add name option is not there.

Thanks,

Thanks. I just checked and I have the LG Rumour which is not supported...but Bluetooth does work, just the phonebook can't be downloaded via bluetooth or added manually. I thought the manual function should work, but I guess not.

Thanks for posting the link.

Problem for me is that every year I upgrade my iPhone so I have to do this once a year. I decided to only do my Top 20 contacts each year and use the iPhone's voicedial for the rest.

I've also committed to only doing this while stuck in traffic to help me pass the time.
