2010 AWD Journey: Former Lease. Should I ?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Looking at a 2010 ex35 with navigation, awd, etc. Black exterior with roof rails and beige interior. Mileage is 55,000 with one owner (Personal Lease). Price is listed at $20,900.

I was wondering if this price seems suitable. I'm planning on checking it out this weekend. Do you think I should negotiate based on the fact that the 60k mile service is due very soon?

On a side note, are there any taller drivers here? I'm 6'3", 180 pounds. My 2011 Camaro was just totaled so I'm looking for a replacement. I've narrowed it down to the ex35 or Acura MDX.

Thanks in advance and I'll hopefully be joining the ex35 scene soon enough!

Check comparable cars with similar mileage and packages and use some online I stings like cars.com autotrader, oval infiniti dealerships...etc
So negotiate accordingly the 60l servicing is irrelevant really

Compared to the Acura MDX the EX is way more sporty and luxurious
The MDX offers more space but handling wise does not even come close
I sometimes drive my wife's EX I am 6"1 and 210lbs and no issues whatsoever
It is a compact fun unique rand reliable ride!

PS: take the VIN number and run it via infiniti dealer and make sure you get the complete maintenance history...

Price sounds about right, assuming no hidden issues. I'm 6'2", 210, plenty of room in front. Good idea on the service history for sure. Should be some remaining warranty, I would think.
I have 34K miles on ours now, absolutely zero problems of any sort since new. Hard to go wrong with these cars ! You will find yourself amazed at the power and handling. Snow traction and handling put my Jeep to shame.

Definitely check out the service history of this and see where you are. Price-wise, Kelley Blue Book shows around $26,000 for this vehicle so I would make sure nothing untoward is going on and that there are no hidden problems. It seems like a lot of vehicles get sold right before major services are due. However, in this case, the price they are asking more than covers whatever the 60k services would be. Good luck.

Update: I received the service history from an infiniti dealership. At 39,500 miles in 2/2013 it had four new tires installed, new rear brakes and rotors resurfaced, new air filters, new cabin air filter, alignment completed. Prior to that it had all recommended services and inspections at the correct intervals (Air filter change, Oil Changes, Inspections, Etc.).

I'm going to look at it sometime this weekend. Hopefully everything checks out.

I'm 6' 2" and 225 and no space issues here in my 2008 EX AWD. Sounds like a good vehicle with a well-documented service history: The only used cars I will ever consider buying. Good luck!

Good News: I purchased the ex35 yesterday! The dealer installed new tires and all new brakes (Rotors, Pads AND Calipers) front and rear.

Bad-ish news: It wont be ready until Monday, has to be detailed and the steering wheel needs to be stained (Fading). I won't be able to pick it up until Friday due to my work schedule (12 hour shifts).

The anticipation is killing me. This car is so comfortable and I have a lot more room in the drivers seat compared to the camaro.

I actually didn't even ask about the brakes. The brakes and tires were a concern of mine when viewing the pictures on the online ad. The tires were the originals.

EXcellenttttttt. Cant wait. Thanks
