Just purchased a 2010 Armada Platinum edition and of course wanted to change a couple items right away:1. Any way to get iPod integration with an aftermarket component? With my 03 G35 I had installed a module that could charge my iPod and I could manage with steering wheel controls. 2. Any way to bypass Navi lock while driving? I read a few threads on this already but they seem to be all over the place and not very clear. I sent Tintmasters an email since they seem to be recommended a few times in the threads for similar issues. I would like to not have to cut any wires and prefer purchasing the proper harnesses. 3. Any way to increase the size of the hard drive and actually copy and play MP3.

ThanksTom

For 1 I use kensington's aux jack plus cigarette lighter adapter to iPhone connector: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d....=8-13. Works great, except you don't get the song on the screen and the volume is a tad low.

I don't think #3 is possible, but if you find a way, I'd love to hear it.

Welcome to the club! I absolutely LOVE my black platinum, and was beginning to think I owned the only one in DFW, but saw one last night in Colleyville.

Cheers from the staff here at NICOclub! Glad to have you as a new member in the Forum.

1. Nissan does have an integration kit available. It is available at http://www.courtesyparts.com I would suggest calling them to make sure you get the proper components.

2. The only way is to do the mod outlined here in the Forum. It is easy, and it works very well. (I did it to my Armada) Don't worry about cutting the two wires, it is very simple.

3. No way to increase the HD size.

Hope this helps!

I looked at that site, and I don't see any iPhone/iPod integration kit and this is the first that I've heard of it.

Give them a call, or do a search on the site, I know the last time I found it I did not find it by simply browsing.

Has anyone tried implementing this kit on a 2008+ armada/QX56?

Are the headunits between the 2004-2007 and 2008+ completely different? I know the earlier years use Dvd nav vs. Hdd nav but perhaps it will work? What about using the iPod module from an 2008 Fx or Ex??

The head unit is different on the 2008+ models, and is connected very differently. You would have to find one specific for the '08+.
