2010 Altima SL Sedan - Help Identifying Part.

Hello guys.. I need your help identifying a part that snapped from underneath my 2010 Altima sedan. It is a metal rod, shaped like the alphabet "C" and seems to have snapped clean. I have attached some pics to help identify.

I'm no expert, but to me it looks like an end of a coil spring that has broken off from one of the front struts.
Look under the front wheel wells, behind/above the tires, of both sides with a flashlight and see if you can discern a difference from one side compared to the other.
