I own a 2010 Altima 2.5s with 49k miles. I have noticed a problem. It has happened twice in a year. First time it happened was last summer. I was leaving from work when I lost complete acceleration. I put the car in park and back in drive and every thing was fine.Next day I hooked up consult III but there were no codes. I could not duplicate the problem. It happened second time three days ago at a local shopping center. Please advice me if any one has encountered the same problem and has an idea of what the fix is. I called Nissan Consumer Line. There are no TSB's, Service Campaigns.

Check the pin connections on the top of the Pedal Assy, I've had some come in where customers have managed to kick them loose. I've also had some come in with adjustable pedals where they have come loose. Not the case in your part. For shiggles update the ecm next time you have access to cIII+

I have been researching into the problem. I went into NHTSA and they have a TSB. NTB11-002A. For the issue.

I don't think this TSB is applicable to Altimas.

The 2007-09 Altimas 2.5s auto cvt have the same issue and at 110,000 miles I'm dealing with the p1778 step motor code. The code says electrical is fine but there is a mechanical failure in the speed transitioning. I've read that solenoids is the problem (but not directly from a DIYer who fixed it successfully) or that its one of the pressure valves (there are three or four) This is the Jatco CVT JF010A
