I just bought a 1997 200sx SE-R. This is my first nissan and i'm having trouble figuring out whats wrong with it. My car intermediatly wont go over 2000 rpm. I have a check engine light with the following codes: 0102 Mass airflow sensor/circuit, 0205 IACV/AAC valve, 0401 Intake air temperture sensor. I've checked all of my vacuum lines and they all look good. I've heard that it could be a ground wire, but i dont know where to look, or which one it might be. Please Help me!!!! Thankyou

What they are refering to is the grounding of the MAF meter , I would check the plug and the Plug for the air intake temp sensor , it would not be a bad idea to get some MAF cleaner either , but do not use carb cleaner , while the plug is off the MAF clean it and apply some new electrical grease in there to prevent any corrosion , and if you can get a pin out for it , I would check continuty of the ground wire ....you can probaly find the pinout for the plug on the JWT website as they have a few how to's when it comes to wiring differant MAF meters depending on the program you are running ....hope this helps , if the MAF turns out to be the problem , check your local junk yard , or I have one I pulled out of ,y NX when I did the swap I might let go if it fits your aplication

I checked the grounds for all of the associated sensors and they all checked out good. Also cleaned the MAF sensor. the engine is still running with the same issue. I checked the voltage going to the MAF and Intake air temp sensors... Both of the reading were at the listed value in the haynes manual. 12.2v for the MAF and 5.1v for the intake air temp. Any other ideas?

What is the reading for the maf not a WOT. 5.1v is WOT reading. What reading do you get with testing the ground. Should be between .005-.009 range. Ground wire to the maf should run to the intake manifold. There is a sticky above that takes you to general maintenance and explains how to reground maf.

Rechecked the grounds... all are reading in spec. all of the voltages going to the sensors checked out good. Cleaned the MAF and the connectors for the other sensors... And im still stuck.. lol I know its going to be the smallest thing wrong with it that i just cant find. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible that the computer is bad/needs to be reprogramed?

Another code popped up on the computer... for engine overheating... I know the engine hasnt been run long enough to even get warmed up, so I ran with it and replaced the coolant sensor... after resetting the computer, the engine is running almost correctly. She's almost at 100%!!!!! She's stuttering at about 2000 rpm, but at least she's running good at the higher rpms. Any idea's for stuttering at 2000.... fuel pump, strainer, and filter are new. I noticed that the idle air contol valve was loose, gonna set it right tomorrow and hope that fixes the last little hickup for now... Thanks for all of the help and ideas!
