this is a simple fix but i need to know what might the problem be...

I went out to my car 2 days ago at 6:40 AM on my way to school. i pulled away, put it in 1st and rolled down a hill, and dropped it into Neutral, and came to a stop. i looked at my back calipers and disks, and they were hot to the touch. My brake was down but still engaged, so i parked it. when i came home later that day(3:00PM) it was fine. could this be because of the cold weather( i live in PA) or does my cable just need to be greased a little? or could it be a more serious problem?

Keep an eye on it and see. Your ebrake may be sticking. It can't hurt to go head and check the cable itself to make sure it's not sticking in the taught position.
