Hello everybody my name is Dimitrije and i`m from Serbia.I would like to present my 1989 200SX RS13 CA18DET.It`s still work in progress but i`m hoping it`s going to be ready for next summer.Changed the rims and tires and now rolling a 17" Artec 3 spoke wheels with Pirelli P Zero Nero 215/40 tires.Also did some changes to the sound system.HU is a Pioneer P7000UBSpeakers SoundStream 4.6 and Pioneer TS-G131CStill waiting for the bass and amp installation.It has 155.000 km or 96.800 miles on it and it`s in a quite good shape.The car came to Serbia from Switzerland where the cars are mostly in good condition,and the car has been driven by an 60 year old guy for the last 15 years an maybe more.Here are some pic`s of it,i hope you will enjoy it.Greetings!

Go back to stock on the rims... those are disgusting. Other then that, its very clean. Never seen a lhd 200sx.

I Don't Think Those Wheels Look All That Bad.I Won't Buy Them, But Wouldn't Go Back To Stock If I Had Them.

I Would Say Lower It, But Don't Know How Roads Are Over There.

The wheels arent half bad, the car is just begging to be lowered.

CA18DET FTW.

I had no idea Serbia also used the workhorse in their S13s, nice!.

I know that these rims are not appropriate for this car but believe it or not they are the one and only that i could find and buy....I`ll try to lower it but i will probably lose the front spoiler because the roads in Serbia are quite a mess,destroying our cars in every way possible.And i don`t have any option of ordering stuff from any other country because no one believe us the Serbs....They say that we are too risky...

By the way Serbia newer officially imported 200sx.All of these cars came from some other country.There are about 15 200sx S13s in Serbia (5 or 6 still illegal people try to sell it for around 500 $) and 1 or maybe 2 S14s...Funny is it not?

Yes it sucks to be me...Damn....I almost hate my country for being such a dump to live in...And no i don`t have any choice...Sadly....Thanks ill be needing luck...

Congrats on a very clean car. The wheels really are not that bad; we all roll on not-the-best at least one time or another. Check that spoiler for rust, just to be safe.

Overall, it's a very nice car.

That is so cool, I did not know the pig nose came with a side mount hole like the silvia k's, plus are those headlight squirters just for that region?

I'm really diggin the front bumper. I haven't seen a pignose like that before. The wheels aren't too bad in the color you have. A nice set of Koni's and some mild springs should do you great. Clean car brother

Would you be kind enough to explain me the pignose? By the way the paint of the rims is a Nissan Graphit Gray Metallic...... I still have a lot of work to be done to the mechanics and suspension of the car,like changing of all silencers and shocks....

Came stock on turbo'd SXs everywhere.

Pignose is what they call the front bumper on the older S13s cuz it kinda looks like a pigs nose with the bridge separating vent on the front.

Oh i see,thanks for the explanation.This is my first Nissan ever and i have a lot of questions,so i`m hoping that you will help me.I can see that there`s a lot of good informed people (in some way experts) on this forum and if willing they will help me....My knowledge of this model is very little so i would appreciate all the help i can get.

Ok i have my first problem and i need help...So my car started working on 3 cylinders and i think that one of my injectors died.I have all 4 new spark plugs and i have a spark on all 4 cylinders,the timing is ok,so my only guess is that the injector died.If anyone knows what is the resistance of the injector it would be very helpful.I measured one of the injectors and the result is 25 ohm.

25 ohm....my god something must be way off.

The CA18 uses low resistance injectors like the RB26DETT 1-3ohmCheck the wiring to the drop resistor.

Here is a picture from the FSM



Showing exactly where it should be stock....alot of people move them around so maybe the last owner moved it as well. Just look around for a the little box.

Yep in Serbia,the little country that no one can even find on the map....So i have found the drop resistor and what is the data that i need?Is it in ohm?How much of what?I`m sorry for my ignorance,this is my first nissan and this is the first time ever that i had this kind of problem.



Here is a closer look at the rims,i`m very proud of them....Priming and painting has been done in my garage,by me.....

Well atleast we know the resistor is there. It should be shooting out 2ohms to each injector.

If the car is stock from 198x then cleaning the injectors wouldnt be a bad idea, maybe the injector is clogged up and thats why its running like its on 3 cylinders.

Trying listening to each injector one by one and to figure if any of them are bad.Use a screw driver and and place it firmly on the injector and give each a good listen, by putting your ear on the screwdriver.The injector should give off a pulsing sound if it is working properly, if you dont hear/feel a pulse you know thats the dead injector.

Pull and switch around and see if it runs in another cylinder or whether the injector is truly dead.If its dead then replace it.

If the injector runs in one cylinder but not in the other, then we know its the wiring, but since your car is stock I highly doubt faulty wiring.

Do^ comeback and tell results.

The injectors ware cleaned twice,fuel pump and fuel tank also cleaned,fuel lines from the tank to the engine cleaned,new fuel filter.When i bought the car it was working good on idle but it was running poor on higher rpms and after cleaning all of this above car was reborn,nice strong pulls,good idling but i could hear one of the injectors making a cracking sound and soon after that it started running only on 3 cylinders.I tried cleaning them again but with no results.Ill try later today to see what will the drop resistor tell me.I was thinking of pulling out the injectors again ( even though it`s painfull as hell) and when i find the bad one to try giving it a electrical shock.

Here i am with the results:Drop resistor: 6ohmInjector 1,2,3: 2.5 ohmInjector 4: 28 kohm That bad boy simply died,and i`m starting a world wide search for this injector....If anyone can ship me standard injectors from U.S. it would be great...Used,new i don`t care only condition is that i`t must work...
