the S12 will house most motors that are commonly swapped in the S13.
most common tend to be the SR20 or the CA18DET
swapping a motor in one isn't too difficult.
HOWEVER you do get limited in the suspension to an extent. The front end will accept S13 coilovers with a little work and a "frankenstein" set up of parts from the S13 and 14 front ends. The rear end is an entirely different beast as it uses a semi trailing arm IRS set up. there ARE a few coil over options for it but you can't get as many adjustments from the set up. There have a been a few owners that have grafted the S13 rear subframe into their cars however.
if you're looking for a limited slip dif, you're in luck because that particular model uses the R200 rearend that you'll find in just about anything rwd that nissan has built since 1985
