I wanted to get some feedback from other owners and see if they have had any similar expiriences. I have a 2009 Nissan Versa Coupe purchased 22 months ago. I bought it when they first came out on the lot and before the 1.6L base model was in existance.

So, 1.8L engine.

I drive a lot of highway miles due to my profession and the location of my children (3 hours away). I took it in for a tire rotation and balance. (New tires 3 months ago)

I am pretty hard on my brakes. So hard passengers grab the oh sh@t bar thinking I am going to rear end someone. :mike

I tell my guy to look at the brakes and tell me how they looked. He comes back with the rear drums and 60% warn. The front right caliper is hanging up so the left front discs are 60% and the right is 75% worn. The rotors are warped.

So, I am like ok I can do all that myself. Then he says he pulled back the boots and the wheel cylinders are wet. Ut oh! I am like :wtf2: how in the world! I do not LIKE doing that and probably will not.

So, I was shocked at the caliper and the wheel cylinders. I had noticed a little binding noise but not a crack when I crank the wheel. Anyone else have anything like this?

And lastly.... This is my MPG car I drive everywhere. I am putting about 35k a year on it.

my brakes are more worn that I'd hoped for 24,000 miles, but I drive it a little harder than I should. I haven't lost the cylinders yet though.

My brakes are perfectly fine. I don't drive hard on them ... My car is still like brand new at 34K.

Sedan. Sorry.

Ok I inspected all of this myself and they are full of it. My front pads are barely worn. No sign of my caliper hanging and my rotors are smooth.

As for the wheel cylinder. Kinda fuzzy on this one but look at what I found. A build up of grease. I wiped a couple large area's to smell it before I took the pics. Anyone have some guesses on this problem. My wheel shakes when I hit the brakes hard at a high speed. This is the driver side. No hole in the boot.

The shaking while braking is definitely a warped front disk. No biggie, they can be resurfaced easily and cheaply. Now the grease has to be coming from the boot. You probably have a pinhole size hole that is letting grease out when it gets hot. That is why the grease is all around the boot.
