I was thinking of summer for the last few months, and was thinking of how fun the WI Nissan/import meet was.

And i was thinking we should get a head start on planning a 2009 one?

Everyone Game? Anyone Game?

What city would you like to see it in?What cars would you like to see more of?When would you like the event to be?

I think if we can get some details planned out in the next month or two we could get a a good date and get alot of people to go.

i'd be interested.

That's a nice park. But to rent a building who's going to front the money and hope people donate to pay it off?

I would love to have a meet somewhere and personally, heartland would be a great place to meet. It's only about 15 min from my house and any weekend would work. Ive been dying for the snow to disappear to bring my car back out! The warm weather we have had the past couple days has been great. I hope it keeps up!

Anyways, I have not gone to a meet before and would love to go. I dont know anyone really around the area whos got an rb let alone a 240 lol. I think it would be quite fun. I would be willing to go down for the park too if need be.

just throwing it out there... kinda off of Quinn's post... you don't need to be hella modded or modded at all.. meets are just that, to "meet" people. You really don't even need to bring a fast car, if the only way you can make it is to bring your 90 pos corolla then that's what you rock. If you can bring out your nissan or whatever fast car you drive all the better, but not required. Hell if I dont have a running rb in a 240 by then i'll prolly be rocking my DSM still.. So don't think you need to bring a 240 or rb or modded one to come. Also friends (that arent d-bags) are always welcome to come with.

I'm in for whenever, its about 5 min from me. Nice park, just gotta ask them when they have events going on. I know they do car shows and craft shows. That would probably narrow it down for us a bit.

nah, i'm going national gaurd. i've heard of the crucible though. tuff shi* to get through that.

and if my drill sergeant is the same as who my brother had,(i'll be going to the same place for basic) he will insist that his first name is drill, and his last name is sergeant. And he will be addressed as such or you will be smoked through the end of eternity. or till you pass basic. which ever comes first.

well hopefully i'll have some good ones when i get back.

My brother says they got a bunch of stress cards and crap now. so it's easier for weaker people to get through and pass. which is dumb cause if your getting shot at you cant just be like "timeout, your shooting is stressing me out!""oh, sorry. i forget i'm pulling the trigger sometimes. what if i just yelled bang?"

idiots.

Hey guys.

YES, we're definitely going to do another meet this year. Whoever wants to pitch in to get it set up.. or better yet.. whoever wants to take charge and run it this year.. Great!!! Go for it!

For last year's meet, Karl (Kjlindgr - the guy with the RB powered RX7) and I split the costs ($65 for the park pavillion rental and another $20 bucks or so for prizes and a few more dollars for incidentals). It was well worth a few bucks out of pocket.

My wife was nice enough to design the flyer for us, and I'm sure she'd be happy to do it again this year.

The Green Bay crew is already planning to do monthly meets up in the Fox Valley area (anyone is invited of course), and then do a statewide meet like we did in Fondy.

Any location you guys want to use is cool. Fondy was pretty central I thought, but no biggie.

What Karl and I had been talking about is trying to link the meet with some sort of track time or event. Perhaps we could find a weekend at Road America where there is a cool event going on? We could certainly do it close to Appleton by the 1/4 mile track (WIR). Or we could shoot for an autocross weekend in Shawano at USAIR.

just some ideas.

i personally like the meet and greet idea more then a track event, just due to the small time you will get to talk and meet people.

I like the Eau claire place more now that i think about it.

You remember what it was called Seth? you should give a call or i could.

What place in Eau Claire??

The best park in Eau Claire is Carson Park..

I agree.. Eau Claire is a looong drive for almost everyone. 3+ hours from Milwaukee, 3 from Green Bay, etc... I think the majority of the people who come will be from the South and East part of the state.. so something more central would be a good idea.

nope.. no calls yet.

We've got some time.

As for location... I really think we should be somewhere in the Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay triangle.

So i'm thinking the area around like.. West Bend to Columbus to Green Lake to Fondy to Kohler/Sheboygan,

Heck, if we wanted to target for the Chicago crew as wellvand pick Lake Geneva or something south of Milwaukee.. that's ok too.

But I'm game for pretty much anything the group decides.
