I just bought a 2009 Versa (prewired with 4 speakers and antenna). It did not come with a radio. Instead of getting all the adapters to put in a 3rd party radio, can I put a 2007 or 2008 Versa radio instead? Several salvage yards have 07/08 versions available.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome. Yes you can use a radio from a 2007 or 2008 V in yours.

We have an 08 "S" that I put in an "SL" unit in it in about :30 to :40. I found a thread on this site with great instructions and didn't even need them. It's an easy plug - n - play. JUST DON'T DISCONNECT THE AIR BAG SWITCH!!

I wanted to keep it stock looking as the "V" is living the college life with college kid. I paid way to much for the "SL" unit. That's the price of keeping it stock looking. You will get more bang for the buck going after market if your into music.

If you just need an Am/Fm/CD (single non-mp3) you can have the one I took out of our "S" for $50.00. No hidden costs I've got a box, packing stuff, & tape. Just e-mail if interested.

Got my radio, put it in. Absolutely no problem. Thanks. BTW, the radio was for a 2007 Versa Hatchback (I have a 2009 sedan).
