I've been thinking of adding a front and rear bumper grille guard on the my new rogue ever since i first got it. I've seen people with the bumper guards on their car and i think it looks really nice. One of my neighbor has a 07 Murano and has the front and rear bumper guard. He got his installed at a shop for about $600. And i went there a few days to check the price and it was around $650 for both. Is that a good price or should I just buy the guards myself and try my luck at installing them.

The guards that I've been looking at are the Black Horse 2.5" Bull Bar for the front and Black Horse Rear Bumper Guard. It looks pretty nice. I just want your inputs to help finalize my decision. Thanks in advance.

I don't have bull bars, but you might want to check out this other thread where they were being discussed.... it might give you more to go on. zerothread?id=385735

FYI: One thing to consider... because the bars have to wrap (install) "below" the front factory bumper you will be giving up 2 1/2 inches of front end ground clearance. In other words when you approach a high curb the underside of the bull bars may bump or scrape the curb. (I only mention this because I've ripped off more than one front end spoiler on my cars that had low front end ground clearance. Guess I'm a little sensitive to that )

Other than Finish (Chrome or Black)... you also have styling to consider (I prefer the one on the left). I think it looks more factory. Then again... the one on the right looks more off-road, a little more sporty. Hmmm... Please post some pictures if you ever get some installed.

Hey Lou. U know it's Romik . It's been discussed earlier. zerothread/319232 zer...nyone I have in garage the 1 that on right side that I never installed it. It has extra clips for off-road fog lights.

Just looking at the two pictures and noticed that it seems like the romik bar would cover a front license plate? anybody know? The front plate is required here in texas so I guess no matter how much I like the romik bar, if having it on would violate the law i won't be getting it

Which is why you could get a Bullbar License Plate Re-Locator:In the other picture it looks good. I guess it's the angle. But in this one it looks too wide. The photographer makes a big difference. Now it looks like a huge chrome molding for the front air damn if it weren't in reality 2.5 inch tubes . The more I look at it from the front, the more it's starting to look too wide. If it was my only option, I still get it though.

This first one is by Steelcraft. On my bullbar, there is a hole under the top bar for this very reason. Unless its a pre-drilled hole for a fog light. But I never saw a upside down cyclop foglight in that position on a bullbar. So I assume its for re-locating your license plate. -Enables you to Remove the License Plate form the Vehicle and Mount it in Front of Bull Bar -May be Required by State Law -Must be Ordered Separately from Bull Bar-The License Plate Relocator Kit may be needed when 3 inch Bull Bar applications block the front license plate.

But on my bullbar, the license plate is not covered. An example like mine.

Yeah I emailed Romik and they said that they are working on a relocator kit. so I'm assuming that it does cover the front plate. I really like the Romik bar so I going to order it with one of the other relocator kits and see if it works. Thanks for the info.

Actually while researching bullbars, Romick & Aries are considered the best IF not the best! So I am very happy for you.

As for myself, I purchased the cheapest and (free shipping added or not added does not matter in the end as it will be the same affordable price. Moreover, there are not really too many options for black-coated bullbars which was my personal preference.

This allowed me to purchase other mods quicker instead of saving up for one major upgrade. The Romick is the same price as my bullbar, nerf bar, and rear bumper tube combined.Stainless Steel is also more expensive. I'm glad they charge the black-coat lower. Pro-bullbar!

Come to think of it, your the 2nd person in this whole forum who decided to get bullbars.

I know of nobody in here but myself who has installed them. Ever since I researched it, all the bullbars I've seen were on sites selling them(advertisements), on dealership pictures, or on a rental.

Never saw a personal picture of a rogue owner having one.

I believe it's the fear of damaging your rogue's frame and how it would affect the crumple zone.

Probably, the only reason I got it is because I never really been in a car accident with major damage in the 20-25 yrs. of driving. Most of my accidents were slow moving or parking lot damage.

I'm kinda glad they didn't discount the Venza which was around $26,000 during cash 4 clunkers. Even though it has a pretty big footprint for a so called crossover, they don't offer the mods I was able to put on the rogue.

I feel it's one of the smallest vehicles or it is...........for that matter, to even have bullbars. It definitely meets the minimum standards of a true SUV, hence the CUV label. At least I have AWD to make it seem like I kinda have a SUV. So I am glad these mods were available.

The only thing I wish I had from the Venza is their gas and temperature gauge!

Lol, well I'll post some pics of mine after I get my bull bars. I've only been driving for 7 years and I've never had any real damage done to a car, other than door dings. And the Rogue is a big upgrade for me, coming from a Chevy cobalt coupe(which I wanted to drive into the lake after a year of having, not a car I would have picked for myself if I'd had a choice). The Rogue is actually the first vehicle that is mine and not my parents. I actually work in downtown Dallas and have to park in a parking garage with stupid people so the bull bars are a precaution against the dummies who I have to work with. Everyone I know keeps asked me why I got a tow hitch installed on mine...they just don't understand the concept that I got it because I could...and I've been thinking of saving up and buying a used Sea-Doo. In the meantime I'll get a nifty hitch cover to put on it. The only thing I miss about my chevy is the auto headlights and the fact that the dc outlets worked even if the car was off and I could leave my phone on the charger while I was at work(since I'm not supposed to bring it into the jail anyways)...oh well, doesn't change the fact that I love the Rogue!
