2009 Rogue SL AWD air condition noise

Hi,

Anyone finds the air condition's noise is very loud, if you turn off the radio when driving?

You should post information about your A/C settings first.Mode.Fan speedRecirc on/off (depending on mode, it is sometimes defaulted to inside/outside air)A/C switch on/off (depending on mode, it can be forced to turned on)

All this influences the "noise" level from the system. Are you comparing it to another vehicle?

I don't hear any noise from the AC unit at all, or if I do it is very minimal. The only noise I hear is the air flow which gets fairly noisy if you have the fan on high, but other than that nothing. If you think it's the AC compressor being noisy, mention it to your dealer the next time you're in and they can check it for you, it shouldn't be noisy.

yes, I am thinking it is A/C compressor's noise, maybe I will talk to mehanic when I do my next service.

The fan noise with or without the A/C on in my Rogue became very loud coming into the Spring this year. Turns out a chipmunk got into the vent system somehow and was stuffing acorns and other junk in the vents which caused the noise. $300+ repair for that, I would deff. have your mechanic check it out.

Damned chipmunks! At least you found the problem and got it fixed.
